BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Kate Dorrough has exhibited since 1996, holding fourteen solo exhibitions in galleries; Access Contemporary Art Gallery and Art House Gallery, Sydney, Beaver Art Galleries, Canberra, Edwina Corlette Gallery, Brisbane and Catherine Asquith Gallery, Melbourne. She has also exhibited in numerous group and selected exhibitions, including the Mosman and Paddington Art Prizes and the Refuses, S.H.Ervin Gallery, Sydney.
Kate has been selected for the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize, Sawmillers sculpture Prize, Sculpture in the Vineyards, the Clunes Ceramic Art Award, and has been selected for the Australian Ceramics Association Biennial Exhibition in 2014.
Kate has undertaken residencies at The Art Vault, Victoria, the Hill End Artists Residency, NSW, the Bundanon Trust Residency in NSW, and the Art Gallery of NSW Denise Hickey Studio, Paris, and will undertake the Starry Night Residency Program, New Mexico, USA in 2014.
